I know Charlie is not the only one. My mom’s pomeranian does it, too, so I am sure there are many other ones out there. When Charlie eats her dry food she takes 1 piece of kibble out of the bowl, runs across the living room to the rug, sets it down, picks it up again and then, finally, eats it. Then she goes back to her bowl and repeats the process. Sometimes she goes to the bedroom rug. She likes to mix things up. What is the point of this? And, more importantly, why don’t I do this? It would be nice if I could burn off my meal while I was eating it. Who knows, though, maybe if I felt compelled to run across the room between every bite I might just be too lazy to even eat at all.

My husband and I stopped at Animal Aid this weekend and met Bonito. He is such a sweetheart! He is a chocolate lab/retriever mix with only 3 legs. He was found almost starved to death with his front leg broken in several places. Unfortunately, it had to be amputated. For more info on adopting this precious boy, check out his Petfinder page.

I just started a calendar of events to keep track of all pet related evets, fundraisers, etc. You can see it in the sidebar to the right. If you click on any day, you can get more info on that event. If anyone has something they would like me to add, please email me at miamibeast@gmail.com. I just started this last night so there aren’t a lot of events yet, but I will be adding more all the time. Thanks!
